The Green Planet opens its doors today September 1st. U+A is proud to have been involved as the Executive Architect on the first tropical indoor forest in Dubai. The design team worked closely with the client ‘Meraas Holding’ and project management ‘Samsung C&T’ to ensure the design vision was maintained throughout the project.
The building stands 30m high over 6 floors with a BUA of approx. 6500sqm providing a recreational destination with retail and café facilities within the heart if City Walk. This unique structure recreates a tropical rainforest ecosystem with over 3000 plants and animals around a 25m tall man-made tree. A waterfall pool and tree top walk will take the public close to the forest canopy whilst creating an exceptional educational facility promoting learning for all ages.
